New Signs!!!

We have new signs going up at the shop! People have been having a hard time locating us, even with directions. So we are trying to increase our overall visibility. Hopefully this will help more families be able to find us. This is phase one of the signs.

As of lunch time today (Dec 19, 2011) we accept Visa, Master Card & Discover! All of our clothes are going to be $1 through the end of the year, and coats are $3. So come do some last minute Christmas shopping! We look forward to seeing you soon. Merry Christmas!

VAN NEEDED!

Hey everyone,

We are in NEED of a much larger van. We would like a 12-15 passenger van. Those of you that know us on a personal level, know that we have 6 kids. 5 boys 1 girl. We have outgrown our van. We have to take 2 vehicles everywhere we go. The van we have holds 7 and the car only 6. It makes taking trips together as a family miserable. Even a trip to the mountains is a caravan trip. We love to go camping, and visit family out of town, but it’s hard when you have to take two vehicles everywhere. Even a simple trip to church, means two vehicles. We are asking for prayer, that God will open the doors for us to get a larger van. Thanks!

No more holes!

Yesterday and today we have had a gentleman here fixing and patching the ceiling of our shop. The building was in great need of “love” when we took it over 4 months ago. Slowly, one step at a time, it is looking better around here. The following are some pictures of the transition.

Construction

We have had a gentleman here doing construction today. Many of you have noted the spot over the front window, you know… the big gaping HOLE. Well it is now patched, and drying. He is coming back tomorrow to do another patch over where the silverware is. So I will be clearing that table, and getting it moved here in a bit. Hopefully when he is done, it will look a bit better in here. We are slowly but surely getting this place cleaned up and organized. It was quite the mess when we took over. It is coming together though. Please excuse our mess in the mean time. Thank you!!

Officially Open

Many of you have been following us throughout the last year plus. We have been foster parents officially sense March of this year. We recently switched over from Patria Center to Blount DCS. I received our letter of approval yesterday. We are officially open as a Blount County Foster home! We are all VERY excited. Keep us in your prayers, as we continue on our mission, and continue to reach out to those in need. God has blessed us, so that we can continue to be a blessing to those around us. Thank you for your continued prayers.

Good morning everyone,

I need volunteers to help me run the store. I have had several ladies help with cleaning and organizing the clothing room. They all did a fantastic job. It is looking wonderful in there. I have been spending many days running the store solo lately, and could really use an extra set of hands or three. ;-) This could possibly lead to part-time employment over time. You would be cleaning, pricing and shelving new items, organizing shelves, hanging clothes, sweeping and mopping floors, and ringing up customers. If you are interested, please give me a call at 865-356-7462. Thank you! Together we are helping families, and changing lives.

THANK YOU!

I wanted to thank everyone that came out to our one day sale event. We cleared out a TON of clothes this weekend. We are currently working on building some racks, so that we can get everything out of tubs and onto racks. If you missed the sale, don’t fret! For a limited time our clothing will remain 25 cents each or 5 for $1.00. This will continue through August. Starting in September we will be pricing things individually, but will remain very reasonable with our prices. Thanks everyone for showing your support, and for helping us to reach out to those in our area that are in need.

Seek and ye shall find. THANK YOU to Doodle Bugs on East Broadway for your HUGE donation of kids clothes sizes 3mos-5/6T and a few even larger than that. We are now overly blessed in childrens clothes! PTL! God has once again seen a need and provided it. Come visit us at 1402 East Broadway in Maryville and receive a blessing! Be prepared to dig through bags and tubs when you come, as we do not have center racks and are out of rack space on the wall. :-) I have 13 overflowing TUBS of kids clothes, PLUS what is on the racks!!
